Junior Counselor June 2015 – August 2016

Planned activities for and supervised first grade children. Worked with head counselor and trained CITs.

Bus Counselor June 2016 – August 2017

Supervised and played with children (ages 4-14) on bus ride daily. Point of contact for parents.

Head Counselor June 2017 – August 2017

All Junior Counselor responsibilities plus trained Junior Counselor, planned and executed an overnight for 200 campers, and worked as a specialist for a day – planning “Movie Magic” activity with green screen effects for various age groups.

Assistant Robotics Coach July 2017 – Present

Helped teach and coach 3rd – 8th grade students (about 20) in the FIRST LEGO League robotics competition. The team was recognized with the Global Innovation Award nomination from the Los Angeles Region.

AIDS Walk Los Angeles

Walker/Fundraiser October 2008 – Present

Raised funds and walked to advocate for people living with AIDS/HIV in and around Los Angeles County

Team Leader August 2010 – November 2017

Recruited peers and teachers to walk and raise money, worked alongside clubs and other schools, acquired sponsors and incentives, designed and sold t-shirts, and secured Gold Team status (top 20 teams) for four consecutive years.

Event Volunteer June 2016 – Present

Visited the AIDS Walk LA office at least twice per week for several months leading up to the event. Stuffed envelopes, made phone calls, assembled materials, and did anything else needed by event staff.

FIRST LEGO League

Event Volunteer August 2014 – Present

Worked as a judge and referee for elementary and middle school robotics competitions. More recently, started organizing events, acting as a head referee, and serving as a Judge Advisor.
